This April, Kiss Kiss returns to Cape Town and Johannesburg with its most expansive edition to date, headlined by UK electronic heavyweights Basement Jaxx.
The multi award-winning duo will anchor a programme that positions Kiss Kiss as one of South Africa’s most considered daytime cultural gatherings — call it less of a traditional festival and more of a carefully constructed atmosphere. That’s hot.
This year’s edition is framed around a simple but gorgeously pointed sentiment: sunburnt foreheads, big feelings, loud music, cold drinks and moments that spiral beautifully out of control. A party built on connection, presence, shared memories on the dancefloor and the sort of partying that feels slightly reckless (read early 2000’s) but also entirely earned.
Set across two cities, the festival unfolds as a full-day experience. Two distinct stages operate with their own sonic identities, encouraging movement across the grounds rather than passive consumption. The full lineup — featuring a mix of international and local talent — will be announced in the coming weeks.

Beyond the music, a curated food court will showcase leading chefs from both Cape Town and Johannesburg, with menus designed for lingering between sets rather than grabbing and going. Across the site, immersive theatre and roaming performance introduce unexpected moments that disrupt predictability and heighten the atmosphere.
The daytime-first format remains central to the experience. Open air. Golden hour. Space to actually see the people you came with – and the ones you didn’t expect to.
With previous editions selling out in both cities, anticipation for April is already building. Tickets will be released in tiered phases, rewarding early buyers ahead of final release.
